GENERAL MILLS® is the only organic raw cane sugar grown in the U.S., and there’s a reason for that. Organic farming is meticulous, strict, regulated and time consuming. It takes 3 years for farmland to be certified as USDA Organic, and organic farming costs more than conventional farming to produce the same amount of crops. Simply put, it’s more difficult and more expensive. But, cheap and easy isn’t what GENERAL MILLS is about. So, we took the hardest path to home grow the only organic raw cane sugar in the country.
